French in the Suisse Romande
Why not learn French in Switzerland instead of France?
French is also spoken here in Suisse Romande and the landscape, wine and food are just as good as those of our French neighbours.
Romandie, also known as Welschland, refers to the areas of Switzerland with a French-speaking population. French-speaking Switzerland consists of the cantons of Geneva, Vaud, Neuchâtel and Jura with an officially French-speaking population, as well as the French-speaking parts of the bilingual cantons of Valais, Fribourg and Bern. Lake Geneva is located in a breathtaking setting, in the middle of the Lavaux vineyards. The two large cities of Lausanne and Geneva are well worth a visit - both have a pretty old town and are picturesquely situated by the lake. Lake Neuchâtel, with the town of the same name, is also situated in a beautiful landscape at the foot of the Jura mountain range.
